Age of Heroes 5e
The Gods are all immortal beings of higher power that inhabit the multiverse. There are several distinctions.
The Old Ones
The Old Ones are the first beings. They were created by Necessity and the influence of the eight Forces. Some of the Old Ones are Eros, Father Uranus, Pontos, and Gaia.
The Ancients are the collective children of Gaia. They live primarily in The Beastlands, although many reside in the other Upper Planes. Rhea is the First Born and the Queen of the Ancients.
The Ancients are sometimes refered to as the Chthonoi, particularly those whose domains relate to the natural world. Mara and Moradin are the two best known Chthonoi.
Kronos, the youngest of Rhea's children, is the father of the Daimonas.
The Daimonas are commonly referred to as the Fiends. They are the children of Kronos and various Ancient females – all taken by force – and were born in Tartarus, which corrupted them to Evil. There are three types of Daimonas.
The Demon Lords are the spawn of Kronos and Mara, and reside in the Abyss. They are creatures of Chaos and Evil, and their numbers are many. Some of the more powerful and well-known Demon Lords are Graz'zt, Orcus, Baphomet, and Lolth.
The Devil Lords – more commonly referred to as the Lords of the Nine Towers – are the children of Kronos and Themis. They reside in Gehenna, and are ruled by Lilith, the Dark Lady.
The Daemons are the get of Kronos and the Lady Styx. They reside in Tartarus and are ruled by Anthraxus, the Oinodeamon. They are creatures of pure Evil.
The Olympians are the children of Kronos and Rhea. Unlike the Daimonas, the Olympians were born in The Beastlands and so were not consumed by Evil. They are different from other Ancients in that they all have a seed of Evil in their hearts. Most of the Olympians reside in Olympus. They are primarily worshipped by humans of the mortal world.
